GMU began to enroll postgraduates in 1978 and enroll doctoral students in 1988. There are 33 qualified doctoral tutors and 252 postgraduate tutors. With years of great efforts, GMU's postgraduate education expands steadily. The university has enrolled 37 doctoral students and 901 postgraduate students, and 575 postgraduates and 11 doctoral students have finished their studies by 2001.
